Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during the healing process?

The healing process typically takes 7-14 days for brows and 7-10 days for lips. During this time, you may experience:

  • Slight swelling (especially for lip procedures)
  • Redness and tenderness
  • Color appearing darker initially
  • Light scabbing or flaking
  • Color lightening as it heals

The final color will appear 4-6 weeks after the procedure once the skin has fully healed.

Is swelling normal after permanent makeup?

Yes, slight swelling is completely normal after permanent makeup procedures, especially for lip treatments. Swelling typically:

  • Peaks within 24-48 hours after the procedure
  • Subsides gradually over 3-5 days
  • Can be minimized with cold compresses
  • Is usually mild to moderate

If you experience excessive swelling or have concerns, please contact us immediately. We provide detailed aftercare instructions to help manage swelling and ensure proper healing.

What aftercare products should I use?

We provide specific aftercare products and instructions during your consultation. Generally, you'll need:

  • Recommended aftercare ointment (provided by us)
  • Gentle, fragrance-free cleanser
  • Clean cotton pads or swabs
  • SPF protection (after healing)

We use premium products and will guide you on the best aftercare routine for your specific procedure. Avoid using any products not recommended by your artist.

How long does permanent makeup last?

The longevity of permanent makeup depends on several factors:

  • Microblading: 12-18 months
  • Ombre Brows: 1-3 years
  • Lip Blush: 2-3 years
  • Lip Neutralization: Varies based on correction needed

Factors affecting longevity include skin type, sun exposure, lifestyle, and aftercare. Touch-up sessions help maintain your results.

When should I schedule my touch-up session?

Touch-up sessions are typically scheduled:

  • 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure
  • Once the skin has fully healed
  • After the color has settled

This allows us to perfect the shape, color, and density of your permanent makeup. Touch-ups are included in most of our service packages.

Can I wear makeup during the healing process?

It's important to avoid applying makeup directly on the treated area during the initial healing phase (first 7-10 days). This helps prevent infection and ensures proper pigment retention. You can wear makeup on other areas of your face, just avoid the treated area until it's fully healed.

What should I avoid after my procedure?

During the healing process, avoid:

  • Sun exposure and tanning
  • Swimming pools, saunas, and steam rooms
  • Excessive sweating and exercise (first few days)
  • Picking, scratching, or rubbing the treated area
  • Spicy foods and hot beverages (for lip procedures)
  • Alcohol and blood-thinning medications (before procedure)

Is permanent makeup painful?

Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort rather than pain. We use topical numbing agents to minimize any discomfort during the procedure. The level of sensation varies by individual and the area being treated. Lip procedures may be slightly more sensitive than brow procedures.

Who is a good candidate for permanent makeup?

Good candidates for permanent makeup include:

  • Those with sparse or thin eyebrows
  • People who want to save time on daily makeup
  • Individuals with uneven lip color or shape
  • Anyone wanting to enhance their natural features
  • People with active lifestyles

During your consultation, we'll assess your suitability and discuss your goals to ensure permanent makeup is right for you.

  • Wait for the full healing process (4-6 weeks)
  • Schedule a touch-up session to make adjustments
  • Contact us to discuss your concerns
